TRUSTEES MEETINGS


The Trustees meet once or twice each month.

Trustee management meetings are private but we welcome comments and suggestions from the beneficiaries. All such items received will be discussed at the next management meeting.


CURRENT TRUSTEES


There are three trustees on the trust board.

REBECCA BARKER

Chair - Parish Council appointed Trustee since 2013

Life-long Mortimer resident, former chair of SMPC, member of Mortimer VillagePartnership, former governor of St. John’s School, Trustee of Basingstoke Bluefins Swimming Club.

SARAH SMITH

Publicly appointed Trustee by vote at Stratfield Mortimer Annual Parish Meeting 2014 and re-elected unopposed 2017

Mortimer resident since 2008, mum of two young children, current manager of a family support charity in Reading and a non-practising solicitor.

JOHN HANNAWIN

Co-opted Trustee since May 2015

Mortimer resident since 1995, former governor of St. John’s school for 8 years (4 years as the SMPC appointed governor and 2 years as Chair), current Managing Director of a local software company.


STRATEGIC PLAN


Since 2014 the Trustees have been working with the Charity Commission and the beneficiaries to improve the running of Trust. The Strategic Plan document gives an overview of the background, actions to date and then looks at the Trust's 3 year strategic plan.

There are six main governing documents which the Trust must have due diligence of and have regard for. These documents are:

    This details original donors, beneficiaries and the election process for Trustees.   The Field was left to all inhabitants of the Parishes of Stratfield Mortimer and Wokefield as a recreation ground.

    An area of land to the West of the original bequest was purchased from Brakspear & Sons Ltd and added to The Trusts land. This was approved by a Charity Commission Schedule.

    Granted for Mortimer Football Club to lease an area of ground to build a Pavilion on.
